Wakeskating again… :)
Yeeew! Finally back to wakeskating every weekend (at least, when summer comes I’ll do my best to make it more.) So the weekend before last was a F***ing awesome weekend here in Cape Town, the most beautiful city in the world, it was like full on summer. Unfortunately we are busy putting up the new boat lifts at the dam so I didn’t get to wakeskate the whole weekend but I did get to take 3 sets, 1 on saterday and 2 on sunday. Man it feels good to be back on the water (and not be freezing) again.
Got to test out my new O’neill Hammer Spring suit, which worked like a bomb! Plus I got it for $80, bargin! Anyways the sessions went good, wasn’t as rusty as I thought I would be, managed to stick all my tricks except my wake to wake back 1, and I learn’t a new trick on Sunday! Wohoo! New tricks FTW! It wasn’t the most difficult trick to do it’s just one of the basic tricks I never thought of trying until now.
The trick I stuck was a toeside shuv revert. Quite a fun little trick to do and it looks pretty tech, so if you’ve got shuvits down (on your toeside helps) and fs 180’s or fs body varials, give this trick a go if you haven’t already. I decided to try it after watching this video and the tips they gave really helped, I stuck it 4th try.
Here’s the Vid, enjoy
